I was born and raised in Naples, Florida and for those who aren’t familiar with the area, the Florida Everglades is right at our back door. As a child my parents owned boats, swamp buggies and airboats. We’d camp on Bear Island, spend long weekends at the airboat camp in the Miccosukee Indian Reservation and frequently fish the Ten Thousand Islands. I’ve been blessed to witness a vast array of sunsets, broad scopes of wildlife and widths of the Everglades not open to the general public. Thus creating a capacious appreciation for the outdoors.

Photography had always been a strong interest and at the age of twenty one, upon the passing of my grandmother, I ventured down the Fakahatchee Strand and realized that photography was my art outlet. Through a college elective course, photography began as a hobby, became my passion and has since turned into a mere obsession. I firmly believe that a camera is the next best communication tool to deliver messages and express feelings without using words. It’s a way to inspire others and allow them to see the beauty you see in your life. I also believe what differentiates one photographer to the next is their artistic ability to create dimension and emotion within a one-dimensional product.

We all view the world in different ways, find beauty in different shapes and sizes thus making no two photographs created equal. For me, photography provides challenges, which are my motivator and instant gratification that keeps me captivated and enthralled. The gratification is in sharing the gift I’ve been given to capture what God has given us to enjoy. In a world of constant change and progress, picture’s hold our life’s experiences. With every experience you can learn something, so learn something new with every picture you take.

Upon entering my gallery you’ll find a wide range of subjects from landscapes to wildlife, posed portraits to sassy candid’s and just about anything else you can imagine. My favorite subjects to shoot are family pets. Often they have just as much, if not more, personality than their owners. Maternity and children are my second favorite subjects. There are an infinity of other photographic subjects that I look forward to shooting in the upcoming future. I enjoy capturing special moments as they happen rather than forcing smiles. But if you do smile…I’ll shoot! ;) Photography is an extension of who I am and who I would like to be in the future, my goal and aspiration is to bring joy and happiness to people of all walks of life with my images.
